Glycidyl Neo-acid is a unique modifier of coating resins. Its epoxy group is highly reactive and can react with hydroxyl groups, carboxyl groups, etc. It can introduce acrylic resins, polyesters, etc. at room temperature with few side reactions. The obtained polyester meets the requirements of narrow molecular distribution and low viscosity. The chemical resistance, climate resistance and ultraviolet resistance of the modified resin are significantly improved. The multi-branched structure can also reduce the viscosity of the resin and improve the wettability and plasticity of the pigment. The hydroxyl groups produced by it embedded in the polymer chain can crosslink and enhance the strength of the resin, and can participate in paint making in the form of a reactive diluent to prepare high solids and low VOC paints, which is especially suitable for automotive repair paints.
