Tertiary carbonic acid is a key intermediate in a variety of products. It has excellent hydrolysis stability, thermal stability, chemical reagent stability and solubility in non-polar compounds, and is widely used; vinyl neodecanoante easy to be mixed with ethylene, vinyl acetate and other monomers. Binary or ternary copolymerization gives the copolymer excellent properties, making the copolymer outstanding in resistance to hydrolysis (especially alkali resistance) and ultraviolet light, and making the coating good wettability and leveling. As a unique modifier of coating resins, glycidyl tertiary carbonate has high epoxy group reactivity. Acrylic resin is introduced at room temperature with few side reactions, reduces viscosity and improves pigment wettability and plasticity. It is possible to prepare high-solids, low-VOC paints, particularly suitable for automotive refinish paints.
